Deep hole drilling is possible with many materials. Some materials that we have worked with include, but are not limited to, EN-8, EN-9, EN-19, EN-24, and EN-42.

Counter Boring Deep Hole

Counter boring or finish boring is a deep hole drilling process that requires a work piece with a pre-existing bore. Counter boring is used to enlarge the existing bore orto remove excess stock. Counter boring tools are often used on low power machineswere a small diameter solid boring tool is used for the pre-bore and then a counter boring tool is used to finish the job. Our counter boring tools are available in both push and pull styles. Additionally ourcounter
boring tools may be self piloting or when concentricity is of utmost importance they can be designed to pilot off of the pre-bore With counter boring operation we have successfully achieved the depth of hole up to 16 meter with 500 mm Internal Diameter. Counter boring deep hole drilling requires low power machines where a small diameter solid boring tool is used for the pre- bore and then a counter boring tool is used to finish the job.

Deep Hole Drilling Metals 

We have past experience in deep hole drilling of various materials. It is difficult to achieve dimensional accuracy and good surface finish in reasonable time using conventional drilling machines. Strongly backed by the infrastructure and deep hole drilling machines to handle most critical deep hole drilling jobs. In general deep hole drilling operation is performed on hardened and difficult to machine materials such as hardened steel, stainless steel etc. Our deep hole drilling capacity and counter-boring facility supplement each other to drill any hole/ bore up to 5 meter in length. We also have facilities to handle heavy jobs weighing up to 10 tons or more. Following are few of the metals and their alloys for which we are specialized in seep hole drilling and subsequent operations.
